See what is under the sea at this month’s ‘Science Nights’ – Sea-fari adventure. Parents and children will be treated to an exploration under the sea without needing to zip-up a wet suit, or suction on a mask and snorkel. The Sea-fari event will include a tour of the brand new aquarium, which highlights sea creatures from the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico and Everglades. Additionally, guests can take a Sea-fari back in time with the current traveling exhibit Savage Ancient Seas, which highlights sea monsters from 70 million years ago. The evening will include presentations, labs, crafts and more – maybe even a close encounter.
On the last Friday of every month, the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium hosts a themed ‘Science Nights’ (formerly known as ‘Nights at the Museum’)-- a family friendly opportunity to enjoy extended hours of the Science Center’s typical offerings as well as a chance to view the night sky through the Science Center’s observatory. Once monthly, weather permitting, the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium opens its observatory dome, which rotates to allow for the best views. Guests will be treated to craters, comets and galaxies visible by the telescope.
