Start the journey learning how to create interesting, memorable, and everlasting images. If you have ever wondered what a photographer or painter is looking at when they are creating their masterpieces, this class will answer the question. "Imaging 101 - Creating Interesting and Memorable Subject Matter" is not about technical aspects such as shutter speed and f/stops, instead it focuses on elements such as using light, color, lines and patterns, stories, humor, black and white, perspective, and other elements to create your images.
The class is led by photographers Bruce Bain and Durga Garcia. Bruce Bain, the curator for the Jonathan Dickinson State Park Art Gallery, teaches and presents at various locations in the Palm Beaches. Bruce’s photos have won awards domestically and internationally for Best of Show, Best of Category, and Honorable Mention in domestic and international galleries. Durga Garcia, a well-known portrait and commercial photographer, has also earned numerous domestic and international awards and presents at various European seminars.
Proceeds benefit the Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Inc., a community-based, non-profit organization. The Friends promotes the historical, educational, and ecological enhancement of Jonathan Dickinson State Park and is directly responsible for funding many park programs and improvements.
