Need help deciphering the latest summer fashion trends? We reached out to some of Palm Beach’s hautest boutiques for advice on what’s hot, what’s not and a few picks to keep cool this summer.
Her summer trend forecast: Statement maxis, camisoles, jumpsuits, rompers, and any kind of nude sandals.
“We’re also loving kimonos and wide-leg pants. They’re just easy throw-on pieces that are lightweight.”
PLEASE NO: Birkenstocks. “I get it, they had to come back eventually. I just won’t be sporting them this summer. “
Her summer picks
Joie - great silk prints, on-trend color palette
Neilah Dress in Caviar, $188
coolchange – dresses are easily transformed from casual poolside lounging, to a fancy dinner outing by throwing on a necklace and a pair of heels
Olivia - Chevron caftan, $258.
Favorite Beachy Celebrities
Jessica Alba, Reese Witherspoon, and Jennifer Aniston (“She’s very California cool”)
“My Florida style is going to be all about tank dresses and prints that look cool. I always have a scarf with me because everywhere you go is super air-conditioned and I usually try to pick a pop of color that I can throw on as an instant accessory.
Also, if you’re at the beach and the sand is hot, you can just throw it down and sit on it. It’s probably the thing that you can always find in my purse. That, and TKEES flips flops. “
